BPGS Construction partnered with the Philadelphia Union and WSFS Bank to deliver the $100 million WSFS Bank Sportsplex, a major expansion of the Union’s waterfront campus in Chester, PA. Spanning 32 acres between Subaru Park and the historic Union Power Plant, the 170,000 SQ FT complex creates Major League Soccer’s first unified “super campus.” The project serves as both a world-class athletic hub and a community asset, generating an estimated 500,000 annual visitors.

100,000 SQ FT Community Indoor Facility: Features a full-size 115×70-yard turf field, two multi-sport courts for basketball, volleyball, and futsal, six team locker rooms, event space, and an athlete café.

70,000 SQ FT Athletic Support Building: Houses dedicated training facilities, offices, and locker rooms for Philadelphia Union II (MLS NEXT Pro) and the Philadelphia Union Academy.

Specialized Training & Health Amenities: Includes a two-story performance center with sprint track, hydrotherapy recovery suite, an on-site KINETIC Physical Therapy clinic, and a nation-first Striker Lab for kicking analysis.

Outdoor Field Complex: Offers seven multi-sport fields, anchored by a championship grass pitch with grandstand seating.

Geotechnical & Site Remediation: BPGS executed comprehensive brownfield remediation and employed a timber pile ground improvement system to stabilize riverfront soil conditions prior to construction.
