At BPGS Construction, continuous learning is a critical part of the company culture. BPGS is dedicated to empowering associates with knowledge while fostering an environment of comradery. Through the years the team has developed strategic Build and Learn sessions in which all of the associates gather at a job-site for a specific lesson or discussion on how an obstacle was overcome.

The team recently met to discuss the ground improvement technology, Grouted Impact Piers, being used at the future sports complex, The 76ers Fieldhouse.  The Grouted Impact Piers installed by GeoStructures, Inc, will be used to bridge a deep layer of soft organic fill, common in the Riverfront Area.  Approximately 1500 Grouted Impact Piers will be installed on a 10’ x 10’ grid across the site to stabilize the existing grade.  A Load Transfer Platform (Structural Fill) will be placed and compacted on top of the Piers to Limit post-construction settlement to less than a half inch.
