BPGS Construction recently celebrated the topping off of The Asters, a multi-family residential community located at the University of Delaware’s (UD) Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.

The placement of the final structural beam marks the completion of vertical construction on the $75 million development. The project remains on track for completion in early 2027.

Located at 101 Discovery Boulevard, The Asters includes two seven-story residential buildings connected by a glass skybridge, totaling approximately 235,000 square feet. The development will deliver studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 600 to 1,100 square feet.

The project scope includes:

  • 229 residential units
  • Glass skybridge connecting the two buildings
  • 231 parking spaces

Amenity spaces include:

  • Pool with outdoor dining and grilling areas
  • Landscaped courtyard with pickleball court and dog run
  • Indoor half-court basketball
  • Fitness center with dedicated yoga and boxing areas
  • Resident lounge with entertainment kitchen and game room
  • Bike storage

The Asters is part of a growing pipeline of projects delivered by BPGS Construction in partnership with the University of Delaware. BPGS previously completed construction of the University of Delaware Bookstore and Bloom Energy facility, the first building delivered on the STAR Campus. The project is expected to support approximately 230 construction jobs during development and contributes to the continued evolution of the STAR Campus into a mixed-use district.

DIGSAU designed the project, with leasing and property management being handled by ResideBPG.
