Project Progress: The Press
April 25, 2025 6:32 pmBPGS is progressing steadily with managing the development and construction of the 243-unit residential complex, The Press, located at 801 N. Orange Street in Wilmington, DE. The mixed-use project encompasses a 14-story high-rise tower and a 4-story residential building along 8th Street. The complex will feature a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes. Set for a Summer 2025 completion, The Press adds modern, high-density housing options to Downtown Wilmington.
The high-rise features post-tension concrete construction with a unitized glass and metal curtain wall for sleek architectural appeal. Meanwhile, the 4-story brick-clad building includes duplexes with sidewalk access and two upper floors of apartment-style flats. Between the structures, a landscaped courtyard will offer a pool, dog run, grill stations, and vibrant resident gathering areas.

Recent on-site activities include crews installing millwork in amenity spaces and completing the retaining wall. Appliance deliveries for these areas are pending, with preparations underway for their installation. Amenity spaces are strategically located on the ground level and fourth floor. These areas include an indoor lounge, social dining area, and a rooftop deck with views of Downtown.
Additionally, a porte-cochère is being installed for convenient passenger drop-off. As well as a publicly accessible pocket park, offering seating and landscaping for community enjoyment.
