Homewood Suites by Hilton Riverfront Wilmington celebrated a topping out ceremony on November 26th, 2018 at 3 PM. Dreary weather could not keep enthusiasts away as the final piece of steel was raised to the top of the six-story structure.
Speakers in attendance included Governor John Carney, Mayor Michael S. Purzycki, Megan McGlinchey, Executive Director of Riverfront Wilmington Development Corporation, City Council President Hanifa Shabazz, Robert Buccini, Co-President of The Buccini/Pollin Group and Michael Hare, Executive Vice President of The Buccini/Pollin Group.
In true BPGS fashion, the team added a little extra flair to the event and a celebratory Christmas tree was added to the final piece of steel along with an American Flag.
Wilmingtonians are not only excited to add another wonderful accommodation to the acclaimed “Hotel Row” but also for the job creation the extended stay-suite hotel will provide to locals in the neighboring community.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Riverfront Wilmington is due to complete in September 2019 and will add an additional 120 suites to the vicinity.
