On October 16th, BPGS Construction associates took part in hands-on volunteer projects across Wilmington and New Castle County as part of the company’s 2026 Annual Day of Service, along with Buccini Pollin Group, BPG|360, and ResideBPG.

The annual event connects associates across the company with local organizations to help address practical needs throughout the community. Projects included outdoor maintenance, preparing supplies, and refreshing shared spaces.

At Humane Animal Partners, volunteers trimmed brush along fenced areas, filled holes in outdoor yards, and helped refresh an interior wall by removing a decal, sanding the surface, and painting. The work addressed several practical and urgent needs at the animal-care organization.

Other volunteer projects focused on outdoor spaces. At Pine Street Park, associates spread mulch across the playground, using pitchforks to load wheelbarrows before spreading a four-inch layer. Volunteers also mulched the playground at Brown Burton Winchester Park.

This year’s Day of Service activities included projects at several other local organizations in the area. Volunteers assembled colony cat houses at Faithful Friends, painted the Youth Development Area at Neighborhood House, and sorted donated clothing at Friendship House DE. At St. Patrick’s Center, volunteers helped distribute groceries, organize clothing, break down boxes, and clean.

The Day of Service is one part of BPGS’ broader community involvement. BPGS takes part in annual food drives, school supply drives, and other initiatives giving associates additional opportunities to support local organizations and families throughout the year.
