Project Completion: Humble Park Place
January 31, 2025 3:35 pmHumble Park Place brings 61 apartment homes to Downtown Wilmington and reactivates the dormant corner of Lower Market Street.
On Thursday, January 23rd BPGS Construction along with Buccini Pollin Group celebrated the grand opening of Humble Park Place, a new upscale apartment community located at 2 W 4th Street
Designed by Digsau, the $16 million development spans three buildings increasing from four to six stories across the site. The building design is sensitive to the historic characteristics in the neighborhood while still being contemporary and attractive for today’s modern renter. One and two-bedroom apartments feature high-end finishes and modern conveniences like quartz countertops, LVT flooring, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit washer and dryer. Interior units overlook a lightwell in the center of the building providing ample natural light for residents. Onsite amenities include a fitness center, resident lounge, and private rooftop deck.
The new construction also features a lobby mural designed by artist, musician, and co-owner of Spaceboy Clothing, Dave Sanchez (Chez Creative). In 2017, Chez Creative, with the help of Downtown Visions, revitalized the neglected park and transformed the space into an outdoor performing arts venue. The community pays tribute to the former site with its name while reactivating this highly visible intersection.
Humble Park Place, broke ground in Summer 2023 and brought an estimated 250 construction jobs to Wilmington during the project. The grand opening also signifies the continued progress of the revitalization movement on Lower Market Street to further the connection between Downtown and the Riverfront. Humble Park Place provides a new and welcoming entry into Wilmington via 4th street. With unbeatable access to the Wilmington Train Station and Transit Center, local employment hubs, and neighborhood attractions, it is the ideal home for those who want to live in the center of it all.
To date, BPG has brought over 2,700 units to the residential market in Wilmington and has another 800 units in pre-development or construction.
