BPGS Project Announcement: Renovation of The Creamery of Kennett Square
January 15, 2026 8:08 pmBPGS Construction is proud to announce our latest project, renovations to The Creamery of Kennett Square, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
This project reflects our approach to revitalizing historic structures through thoughtful structural remediation and adaptive reuse. We transform aging buildings while respecting their original character, balancing preservation, performance, and long-term functionality.
The project reimagines a former milk condensing plant as a modern event venue. After later serving as a beer garden, the structure now enters its next chapter through careful planning and structural enhancement.
Renovations include the addition of a mechanical loft, stair tower, elevator shaft, restrooms, exterior deck, and circulation lobbies, all designed to improve access, safety, and usability throughout the building.
The design preserves defining architectural elements while preparing the structure for future use. Salvaged wood and metal from the original building reinforce a durable, authentic aesthetic. The renovation updates approximately 34,000 square feet of existing space and will expand the total footprint to more than 48,000 square feet upon completion.
The finished venue will include a large commercial kitchen, restaurant, beer garden, speakeasy, bridal suites, and flexible event space.
Once completed, The Creamery of Kennett Square will feature:

Smaller areas for private dining and cocktail functions

Enhanced outdoor spaces with a new patio and multi sided deck
The project scope includes all new HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems, along with a full-service kitchen, elevator, and stair tower to support modern operations and upper-level access. Interior finishes reflect the building’s industrial roots while incorporating decorative lighting, custom millwork, and creatively reused materials.
