BPGS Honored with Two 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards by ABC Delaware

The Associated Builders and Contractors, Delaware Chapter (ABC Delaware) hosts its annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) awards every November to recognize the best of the best within the construction industry in Delaware and the projects that members complete in the surrounding area. This year, BPGS Construction was honored with two EIC awards for The Standard Phase I and Union Yards.

The Standard: Excellence in Construction GC/CM $10-$20M

  • The Standard Phase I renovated previous extended stay apartment homes in the historic Nemours Building into 92 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment. The units showcase high-end finishes like continuous quartz countertops and backsplashes, herringbone tile bathroom flooring, and two-tone upper and lower kitchen cabinets. Other apartment features include large kitchen islands and peninsulas, spacious floor plans, energy efficient stainless-steel appliances, LATCH keyless access smart technology, in-unit washer and dryers, and large operable windows offering a great deal of natural light. Additionally, penthouse lofts boast interior spiral staircases separating the living spaces, private balcony access, and kitchen upgrades such as French door refrigerators and built-in wine and beverage fridges.

Union Yards: Excellence in Construction GC/CM under $2m

  • Union Yards features a 7,000-square-foot brew hall and 32,500-square-foot tailgate zone. The brew hall features the ‘Dogfish Head Bar at Union Yards’, a 50-foot full bar serving 20 beers on tap. The 4,000-square-foot main hall includes a rustic brick façade, nine clear glass garage doors, 15-foot ceiling fans, nine rows of communal tables, and 10 big screen TVs. In addition a 1,300-square-foot private space is available for groups to rent out pre- or post-game featuring multiple televisions, communal seating, and indoor/outdoor seating. The tailgate zone features Festoon lighting and Ginkgo trees along with gravel and seating areas
