BPGS Construction’s The Residences at Mid-town Park and Mid-town Park Garage Tops Out!
August 22, 2017 2:58 pmWILMINGTON, DE– Accompanied by Mayor Mike Purzycki, Wilmington-based developer, The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. (BPG) and BPGS Construction celebrated the topping out of Wilmington’s latest multi-family project: The Residences at Mid-Town Park and Mid-Town Parking Garage on August 21, 2017. The ceremony occurred at 820 N. Orange Street where 200 apartments in 2 buildings, 12,000sf of retail space and a 511 space parking garage are being built. The total cost of the project once completed will be $75 million.
The historic project consists of one 5-story building and one 9-story building connected by a pedestrian bridge. Building 1 has 4 floors of living space and 5 floors of subterranean parking below it. The parking garage is approximately 50 feet below street level. Building 2 has 9 floors total. The excavation for the garage portion is the deepest in the City of Wilmington has seen in more than 25 years and marks a major milestone in redevelopment downtown as it is also the first subterranean parking garage in the city. Over 15,000 cubic yards of concrete was used to develop the project.
The apartment community will feature cutting edge amenities the Delaware market has not yet seen including a demonstration kitchen and a dog washing station. An elevated courtyard will include a 33’ x 30’ swimming pool and barbecue area. The Residences at Mid-town Park will also offer residents a fitness center, screening room and exclusive clubhouse amenities. The community will include studios, one and two-bedroom apartments with stainless-steel appliances, quartz counter tops and high-end finish details throughout.
The parking garage portion of the project will be delivered in the first quarter of 2018 with the state-of-the art community arriving Summer of 2018.
