Beating the Record, Helping to Raise $30,000.00 for The American Cancer Society Walking for Pat

October 17, 2017 7:16 pm

Ed Levering, a dedicated associate of BPG and DeSeta for 43 years sadly recently lost his wife Pat. Pat battled breast cancer for 3 years and was heavily involved in raising funds for The American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Awareness. This past Saturday, Ed Levering teamed up with Dr. Tim Dambro, The Buccini/Pollin Group, BPGS Construction and DeSeta to raise funds through The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk and Run.

The event was extremely successful, as they were the first pacesetter team with Strides in the State of Delaware- meaning they beat the record for the most funds ever raised in Wilmington. The previous record was $18,000 and combined Walking for Pat raised $30,000! Dr. Tim Dambro’s team raised $13,000 and the BPG/BPGS/DeSeta team raised $17,000! Big thanks go to Donna Owens for curating the efforts on BPG/BPGS/DeSeta ‘s behalf.

Join us in congratulating Ed, his family and all those who have made this incredible accomplishment possible. The money raised from the event will go to the following:

• Funding innovative research
• Providing free information for people dealing with the disease
• Providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home

In short, the money is helping save lives. It is still possible to donate by clicking here.
